Meet Jessica
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional providing therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families in metropolitan area of Denver, Colorado. I believe healing begins when people feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported. My approach is inclusive, compassionate, and centered on the unique needs, experiences, and strengths of each person. Although trauma recovery is a primary focus of my practice, I also work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, life transitions, relationship concerns, and emotional or behavioral challenges.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in social work from Metropolitan State University of Denver and my master’s degree in social work from the University of Denver. Since beginning my clinical practice in 2014, I have supported individuals and families in school-based, community-based, and private-practice settings.
For more than twenty years, I have been deeply interested in understanding how trauma and chronic stress affect both the mind and body. I integrate this knowledge of neurobiology with evidence-based approaches, including trauma-informed psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, emotional-regulation skills, and parenting support. My goal is not simply to help clients reduce symptoms, but to help them understand their nervous systems, reconnect with their strengths, develop greater self-compassion, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Before becoming a therapist, I taught boxing and self-defense classes to children and adults. I also served as a USA Boxing official and had the opportunity to judge the Colorado State Golden Gloves Championships. These experiences strengthened my appreciation for the connection between movement, confidence, resilience, and emotional well-being.
Outside of my clinical practice, I enjoy spending time with my husband, my two adult daughters, my two stepchildren, my community of friends, and my Rottweiler, Prince. I do my best to stay active through boxing, hiking, and running. Music is a passion of mine and enjoy live music and dancing whenever the opportunity arises. I also love to travel and welcome every chance to explore new places, experience different cultures, and see more of the world.
